From January 1st 2018, the EU Regulation 2015/1188 came into force which stipulates the regulation of energy-related products with the overall objective of harmonising the energy consumption and nitrogen oxide emissions of individual room heaters throughout the entire European Union, and of improving the environmental compatibility of these products. The European Commission expects an annual reduction in CO2 emissions of around 6.7 million tonnes.
